precious stones are translucent and are valued by the richness of their color,
except for the diamond, which has a higher value irrespective of being
colorless. Their purity, rarity and methods in which they are produced add to the
value based on being precious stone. Accessories containing a Precious Stones are high in cost and
affordable to someone of high class only. Diamonds, rubies, sapphires and
emeralds are classified as precious stones and are found in rare places only
whereas stones that are found in abundance are labeled as semi-precious.
